Frequently asked questions

Do I have to use structured e-invoices from 2027?

If your transactions fall under the amended Slovak VAT Act (Act No. 385/2025 Coll.), yes: from 1 January 2027 they must be invoiced as structured electronic documents through a certified delivery service. Check with your tax adviser which of your transactions are covered.

Is Fakturia a certified provider?

No. Fakturia is an intermediary (sprostredkovateľ). The certified delivery service provider is eFaktura s. r. o. (EFSK000028), whose infrastructure delivers your documents. This is the arrangement foreseen by the Financial Administration.

Where do I get the verification code?

On the Financial Administration portal, where you choose your delivery provider. Choose eFaktura s. r. o. with Fakturia as intermediary; the portal then issues the code that you enter in Fakturia.

Can I keep my current invoicing software?

Yes. Fakturia can act as a gateway between your existing system and the Peppol network. Contact us to discuss the integration.

Can I receive invoices too?

Yes. Every plan includes unlimited incoming e-invoices, with PDF and XML download and an email notification for each new document.

What does it cost?

Plans start at a few euros per month, excl. VAT, depending on the number of outgoing documents. Until production access is active, accounts are free and use the Peppol test network.

Does Fakturia keep my invoices for the legal archiving period?

Your documents are available in your account while it is active, and you can download them. Statutory archiving of accounting documents remains your responsibility — download and keep your copies.

Where is my data stored?

On servers in the European Union (France). Delivery data is processed by the certified provider in Slovakia. See the Privacy Policy and the list of sub-processors.
